Improv Communication Camp offers youth ages 12+ a week of improvisation games and theatre exercises designed to build confidence and communication skills. No experience necessary. Led by Alysha Bennett and Rebecca Burnham at Cardston Civic Centre. Three sessions run in August 2026 (Aug 10–14, Aug 17–21, Aug 24–28), Monday to Friday, 1pm–4pm. Family rate $200 per session.
OUT @ the Library Branch: Crossings Branch
OUT @ the Library Branch is a teen-focused evening hosted by Lethbridge Public Library's GSA in partnership with OUTreach Southern Alberta. Teens from Lethbridge and the area are invited to connect with peers, enjoy snacks, and access free queer literature in a welcoming community space.

The Nikkei Cultural Society presents Taiko drumming and Minyo folk singing at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden. This 60-minute performance showcases traditional Japanese music and dance, featuring 30 minutes of powerful taiko drumming followed by heartfelt minyo melodies. Family-friendly and open to all, whether experiencing these traditions for the first time or as an enthusiast.

New Student Campus Tours at the Centre Core introduce incoming students to the University of Lethbridge campus. The two-hour evening tour on August 17 is designed to help new students familiarize themselves with facilities, resources, and campus layout before the academic year begins.

Whoop-Up Days 2026 — Parade
The Whoop-Up Days parade kicks off the annual festival with a procession running from Park Place Mall through Downtown Lethbridge to Galbraith Elementary. The parade is free to watch along the entire route and features floats, marching bands, and community entries. A longstanding Lethbridge tradition marking the start of summer festivities.
New Student Campus Tours
New Student Campus Tours at Lethbridge College Centre Core offers incoming students and their families a guided introduction to the campus. Tours run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on August 18, providing an opportunity to explore facilities, meet staff, and learn about college programs and student life.
Brain Games with Building Brains Together
Building Brains Together hosts a brain games event at the Lethbridge Seniors Citizen Organization. The one-hour session offers cognitive games and activities designed for mental engagement. Open to community members interested in brain health and interactive games.
Whoop-Up Days 2026
Whoop-Up Days 2026 celebrates over 125 years of Southern Alberta tradition at the Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre. The five-day festival features a midway, live music stage, Siksikaitsitapi Pow Wow, family fun zone, marketplace, food trucks, beer gardens, and the Lethbridge & District Pro Rodeo. Free admission noon–3 PM on select days.
