About this event

Drop In is a homegrown mini-musical exploring how friendships navigate difficult conversations and differing viewpoints. Created collaboratively by local actors, facilitators, and stakeholders throughout August, the August 28–29 performances at Cardston Civic Centre begin with a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process, followed by the performance and optional talkback. Donations welcome.

They both know they're the one in the right. And their erstwhile friend is being, well, impossible. Is it time to stand on principle, even at the cost of a friendship? Or tiptoe around the subject? Or can they dig in with mutual respect and navigate their difference in a way that deepens the friendship? This mini-musical is being created by actors, facilitators and stakeholders through the month of August. We'll give you a peek at the process of creation and then we'll perform the mini-musical. We hope to make you laugh and maybe cry, and most of all, to come away inspired and empowered to have those difficult conversations that can help us reconnect with each other in ways that bring out the very best in ourselves, our friendships, and our community.   For the Public: Performances Aug 28,29 Making of the Musical begins at 7pm. (You won't want to miss this part) Performance of Drop In begins after intermission -- about 8:15. You might want to stick around for a talkback. Donations to defray production expenses will be gratefully accepted. Donations over $200 will be featured on the program, $500 will be featured and announced as sponsors.
